Yes, I got checked once a year and was told the next time I was tested. I started medication shortly after being tested. I have been on medication for about 10 years now. It is a manageable disease. But you must be faithful about taking medication!

You can live a good life even if you are positive.

Yes I am on medication. Currently Genvoya, I take it once a day with my evening meal. My blood tests are fine, HIV is undetectable, there are no side effects.

I am alive and well, nothing painful.
